A Flower for a Flower-pencil

My first version of in Prismacolor on black paper.

It didn't exactly turn out the way I wanted it to. I was aiming for a light effect coming from the flower. I mean, you can kinda see from the shading that the light source is coming from the flower, but its still not what I expected to turn out.

Well, I guess it's better luck next time with a bit more practice with the pencils and black paper. I'll keep trying.

Yes, the light is coming from the rose. I was inspired to make it both blue and glowing by the rose that appeared in the animated film 'The Thief and the Cobbler' and the glowing effect is inspired by both the rose in 'Beauty and the Beast' and the flora of 'Avatar'. After all, my fanfic take place in a science fictional space. The thought of flowers having a starry glow seems fitting.

I'll add in the light effect in the next version when colored with Photoshop.
