Description

In honor of Marina Seadrift on her 18th birthday/anniversary of her creation, here is an image of her as she looks in my story when she was 18, before she was married.

Her face is a little iffy, but it's probably because I worked on this in a hurry.  I had to think hard on her design in making her look younger.  Her outfit I was inspired by an adorable outfit I saw a teenage girl wearing while I was at work.  It was the right colors and all that I had to use it to give to Marina for her younger days.  I made the colors of her outfit brighter to symbolize that everything was bright and happy in her youth until the day she became a widow.

Her hair I changed a bit mainly around the bangs since everyone changed their hair over the years.  I gave her the high pony tail after myself because when I was a teen with longer hair, all I did was wear it up like that day by day.  I even remember one day alone when I decided to let my hair down, one of my teachers came up to me and said "This is the first time since I've known you when you have your hair down.  It looks nice!"

And I had to add the big bow because, well for one thing, she does live in a palace with Minnie and Daisy as her best friends.  Plus, she said to Ariel in the story that she had become an expert in tying hair bows over the years.  So it's no doubt that in a time of her life she wore large bows in her hair like Minnie and Daisy would.

So what do you think?  I still say it's a bit iffy, but I might go back and make a few other drawings of her teen days since I will be coming up with a few chapters that take place in the past when Marina met her husband Robert.  But what's your thoughts.
