Little Guardian of a Big World

Got bored and bought a new watercolor steps book, so I painted this as a bold experiment. ^_^

I decided to paint this meerkat since the background and the big rock it was sitting on seemed to be interesting to do. I used masking fluid to do the trick on the flowers in the tree in the back and a speckling diffuser brush for the detail on the rock.

The only drawback on it was the paper kinda ripped right on the top of the rock, but I managed to kinda hide it with extra paint and all. So, it's okay.

Of course the scanner kinda ruined it and made it brighter than how it really is. Sometimes I really hate scanners.
